Molly Dittmann Fundraiser
Hello! I’m Molly. Welcome to my fundraising page. That’s right, I’m planning a 6-month trip to South Sudan with In Deed and Truth Ministries and I need your prayers and support to help me get there! I have dreamt of Africa for so long and I can’t wait to use my years of experience as a homeschooled student to bless others. You see I am 19 years old and grew up in a Christian home with lots of brothers and sisters, nine to be exact, and we were all homeschooled by our amazing Godly parents.
I first fell in love with ministering and telling people of all ages about Jesus after a 2-week mission trip to Thailand. It’s exciting to have a purpose and that’s why I’m eager to go on this mission trip and be part of an amazing team. The thought of calling myself a ‘missionary’ is a bit scary because I have loved missionaries ever since I was little. I don’t feel worthy, but the Lord gave me this verse and has confirmed this calling in my heart.
“But the Lord said to me: “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ For you shall go to all to whom I send you, and whatever I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of their faces, for I am with you to deliver you,” says the Lord.” –– Jeremiah 1:7-8
So in May, I’ll be moving to Tonj, a remote town in South Sudan and living among the Dinka people. This ministry has a medical clinic, Community Health Evangelism program and plants churches.
My main focus will be serving a missionary family, the Macleods, by homeschooling their three children, Zoe (7), Ellisha (5) and Shiloh (2). You see their parents, Jono and Destinee, are both doctors and while I’m serving them, they’ll be free to attend to more patients. Last year the clinic saw over 52,000 patients, mostly children under 5. I hope by serving them it will save lives and be an encouragement and blessing to their children. I love kids, so I’ll also be working with a child sponsorship program and children in the Sunday school. I heard over 100 kids come every week!! My heart is bursting with joy and excitement. And not only this, I’ll also get to work in the clinic and minister to girls around my age. I will miss everyone here but honestly, I can’t wait to get there!
As I pray about putting together a support group, I want to ask you to join my team. Would you be willing to pray for me and support me financially as the Lord leads you? Maybe you can give a love gift towards my goal of $3,500 needed before I can leave? Or possibly help me with a recurring donation of $50 a month for the 6 months I’ll be gone?
South Sudan is a tough mission field and I’ll be in a remote location. Here are my top 5 prayer needs:
- To be surrendered to the Lord before, during and after my trip.
- To be fully funded.
- To be effective in my ministry to others and used by God in South Sudan.
- Protection from the three S’s: Snakes, Scorpions and Sickness (malaria)
- For help adjusting cross-culturally, with language learning and making friends.
I have been praying for something that God has specifically for me and this is it. Please keep me in your prayers! As God is calling me to go, I know He is going to do some amazing things. Is He also calling you to help me go?
